Hello! I’m Clare. I’m 11 years old and the youngest of the 8 sisters. Here I am at the Short Pump Mall near where I live in Virginia. My parents have brought me here since I was a baby and it’s a lot of fun.
I was born at 1 lb. 10 oz. I had a tube in my nose because I wouldn’t eat. What I’ve been through is amazing. It is a story of love, a new family, a new home, pets and a little bit spoiled at times. (Mom had to chuckle at this one)
I am Home Schooled by my Mom, Dad, and 5 sisters who live with me. My favorite subjects are reading and Bible Study. I love Jesus, my family, meeting people, books, and animals. I have lots of animals, 8 chickens, 4 cats, 1 dog and a bird I named Pickles because he looks like a pickle. I love my dog Benji. He is the most cutest and greatest puppy I ever had.. He is very small and very smart. He loves to kiss and be with people.
I like to travel and have been to 19 US states-
I like skating lessons, horse back riding lessons and jumping on my trampoline, but my favorite thing to do is read. Mostly I read my Bible books and know many stories in the Bible. I hope you like our website about our family. Clare
MEET THE SISTERS
Hello, I’m Lisa. I’m 43 years old and sister #6. I currently work for a Skin Cancer Surgeon. I maintain the website along with compose and record keyboard and I am also a lead vocalist for The Berchtold Family and our Sunday morning worship.
Music and entertainment have always been a part of my life. I am self-
Besides music, I love children, nature and world travel. I recently wrote and recorded "One Day At A Time", which is a favorite song for many but is also the way I try to live my life. I have so much to be thankful for-
I hope our family story and music encourages you and I pray that you too will find the love and peace of Jesus in your heart. Lisa
Hi, my name is Katie. I am 47, the 5th in line of the 8 sisters. I’m a Medical Secretary in Richmond. I got into the medical field because my 2 older sisters became RNs and I liked how they helped patients in need. Also, Mom took us as children to Nursing Homes and Hospitals and I felt the JOY of their happy faces.
My favorite things? Besides cooking and traveling, I’m a people person and love being with my family most.
My guideline for life is J-
Jesus said the Christian life is not a free ride, nor an “easy road”. But to walk In His Steps, He promised to lighten the burden and give us JOY! He told us to do the same. “Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?” Luke 14:27,28
So, if you want to emulate anyone, why not the greatest Man that once walked this earth, Jesus Christ? "Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13
May Jesus bless you in your search for truth and happiness. Katie
Hi, I'm Amy. I am 48, the 4th sister, the Middle Child and a Medical secretary in Richmond.
My favorite hobbies are herb gardening, cooking (with my herbs!), and sewing. When I was young I really enjoyed creating huts and paths in our woods, so nature gives me much happiness also.
I love children and as well as singing and have the joy to sing for the King of Kings. His plan was for me was to serve the sick and for twenty five years I have been working as a Medical Assistant. Jesus said, "For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself?" Luke 9:25. I believe this is the answer to life's quests and believe, "No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly". Psalm 84
All but one of my adult sisters have never been married. We trust God that if we were to meet Mr. Right (like my Dad!) Jesus would be the One to arrange it. Until then, I happily remain under the tender care of my parents, who are the Shepherds of our humble church who carefully tend to His sheep.
Where will He lead me next? Who knows, but I believe because of Jesus' faithful care and promise that "He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him." Hebrews 13
He is all I need and may you too come to know this peace and hope of eternity with Jesus my Savior. Amy
My name is Paula. I’m 50 and I am the third child of the sisters. I work as a Billing Supervisor at a Surgical medical office. I enjoy landscaping, indoor renovations, reading, nature, gardens and travel.
My dream was to be on staff for a home for children, envisioning myself behind a big wooden desk in an old English home with huge windows. I could hear the children play outside while I was “crunching the numbers.” I still feel that this could happen one day. But my goal is more personal now. With the whole world in “labor pains,” I would like to know I am ready for the end time events, which I feel will be in my lifetime.
This POWER of Jesus is what I need to sustain me in these ends times. He is proving Himself to me. I am thankful each day for the chance to "Work out (my) salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Phil. 2
My leaders (who happen to be my parents) watch over their flock with diligence, patience, honesty, faithfulness and love.
‘My small family home church serves my needs and goals and helps to mold me for the "Day of the Coming of the Lord." For this I am most grateful and thankful.
Amen. Come Lord Jesus! Paula
